Initial consultation

Choosing a fitting memorial for your loved one can be a daunting task, which most people will only do once or twice in their lives , and we aim to make this process as smooth and easy as it can be. Being a small family firm, we value the need for one to one personal service needed.

The first step is to have a chat, and decide with you all aspects of what memorial you may have in mind, the inscription, and what regulations we will need to adhere to in the cemetery or churchyard where the memorial is to be situated.

All memorials are a very personal thing, and everyone will require a different approach. Often there will be multiple family members, with different ideas and input. We aim to work with families until everyone is happy with the process.

From the first discussion to the completion of the memorial, you will deal with one person throughout.

We are based in Keighley, and have a showroom to view a variety designs and materials, or we are happy to come to see you at your home.

Quotation and ordering

Once we have all the information we need, the memorial design, material, sizes and inscription details, we can then provide a fully itemised quotation for the memorial. With this, a full proof drawing will be given, so you can see how it will be laid out with the inscription and any artwork, or photoplaque. From this drawing you can make as many changes as you need to be fully satisfied with the overall design before moving forward to ordering the memorial.

Once you are happy to go ahead, we will then ask for 50% of the overall quotation as a deposit, at which point we will order any materials needed from our suppliers.

We will also require any council or church application form needed to obtain permission to be signed by the grave owner, and the relevant fee to accompany it.  We will prepare any drawings the authority may require, and submit the forms on your behalf to obtain a permit to install the memorial.

Unless we have a specific memorial in our stock, or in stock with our suppliers in the UK, most will be imported. An average lead time would be around 12-16 weeks, but some may take longer if it is a particularly bespoke design. We will be able to give you a more accurate estimate of timescales for your specific memorial when ordering.

Memorial fixing and completion

Once the memorial materials arrive with us, we will add the inscription and any ornamentation. We will contact you to let know when we will be installing the memorial, and keep you fully informed of our progress.

Once the memorial is fully completed, we will then require the remaining 50% of the balance. An invoice and a photograph of the memorial will be provided.
